Alivin Ailey American Dance Theater is a national treasure, and Acadiana audiences have responded in great numbers when PASA has brought this premier American troupe to the local stage. The Ailey dancers made their most recent appearance for PASA on April 5, 2001.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Performing Arts Society of Acadiana is to educate, inspire, entertain, and culturally enrich the people of south Louisiana by providing local access to a diverse range of the performing arts.

PASA's activities include not only main stage performances by exemplary artists, but also a wide range of educational opportunities and special presentations. Dance Theatre of Harlem balletmaster Charmaine Hunter leads a master class on the University of Louisiana at Lafayette campus.
